HAHA! My step-sister’s baby is the same. She refuses to sleep some times, but? switch the hoover on and she’s out like a light.

alot of kids are like that. i was when i? was little. my grand mother told me that she had to put a dust buster under the crib with me. i wonder how many times she had to charge that thing. LOL something about the noise that soothes a colicky baby,

mmmm I have always liked the sound of a Hoover/vacuum cleaner (or air-flow noise from any fan) since I? was baby – 23 years ago :)

Amazingly, some companies are selling “baby sleep” CDs with recordings of hoover, hair dryer, fan heater, and other white noise.

the vacuum cleaner reminds them of the sounds that they hear in the uterus called “white? noise”. a vacuum cleaner or hair dryer or very helpful with infants, especially newborns. one of the reason a baby has trouble adjusting to their new environment is because they are expected to sleep in complete silence when noise akin to that of a vacuum cleaner is much more soothing.
