Now here is one you don’t see everyday! This is a model 1205 with a direct connect swivel handle and telescopic wands. It has a trigger switch. I have 2 hoses with this, one standard and the electric one shown. It’s date stamped 1969.

Electrolux was not a good enough machine to appear in Avatar.
Hee, hee…
i have just gotten one of these wonderful machines, got it at a thrift store with some attachments[not original ones] and a different hose. all for 7$, not bad at all, its obviously had wear and tear, and i just finished giving it some tlc. looks much better now, anyway know where i could find a power nozzle and original hose? thanks.
Ah, the classic and unique sound of the Electrolux “Power Nozzle”. I spent many hours as a kid hearing that sound as my mom diligently vacuumed the shag carpets in our house back when I was a kid in the ’70s! To think the sound of a vacuum cleaner can bring back memories!
Hi ThelX..that must have been a fun experience to sell these vacs with your father. Imagine if we knew then what we know now-we may have tried to hold onto a few of these puppies brand new in the box!
My mom still uses hers; It came from my grandmother’s after she died. The only difference is the powerhead.
I use to assist my father sell this electrolux vacuum cleaners back in the mid 70s. We have a client one time with a big large furry dog and I told her that she could use it to dry the dog hair after giving the dog a bath.
Is yours the TOL mdl? Neither of my Lux 1205s have telescope wand like yours but the one my parents bough c. 1970 has a 10ft hose & aqua PN like yours. The 2nd 1205 I have has the chrome PN-2.
I have the same one, its very very dirty, but in decent shape, ive got a hose, and two metal wands with the flip head attachment for hardfloors/brushes. The only flaw with mine is the blue or whatever color plastic is broke around the hose connection on the unit.
I was worried I have this same vac and it does not have a place for the dusting brush to hang onto I thought it was missing or broken. Good to know that.
Well to make you jealous I will post lots of videos of my hoover ELECTRONIC POWERMATIC power head LOL!!!!!
I know cuz this model was brought into canada for a limited time and was made and manufactured in the usa. But in the US it had a different wand and hose. I have to say I put this vid up just for you, just wanted to make you jelous
Love the telescopic wand Electrolux and from Canada and the US should have gotten together and shared some of their feature for the stateside machines LOL.. Great vid!!!!
My grandma had a 1205 after she died they threw it away but i wanted it
Ah, the turquoise telescopic wand…pretty rare to see that.
